Luang Prabang, Laos

Temples & Monks & River runs

Luang Prabang, is my favorite place to visit in Southeast Asia. Everything from the views, the people, and the food, I loved it! The town is completely relaxing. Even with all of the other visitors we were able to find locals and be alone. The town is surrounded by Nam Khan river and Mekong River. We took a boat ride at sunset and strolled past the Bamboo bridge. There are many monks walking around the town and the children's schools are held in Temples too. I found the entire place safe and relaxing. I especially loved running in the mornings along the water. Having the river to run along was very refreshing... actually it was my favorite part. During one of our walks we stopped in a little village and visited with a woman who was weaving some scarfs. We bought one of course. The food has both Thai and French influences, which I found to be perfect balance of tastes. I will definitely be back to Luang Prabang and I hope you get a chance to visit there too.

Balian Beach, Bali Indonesia

Sunsets & Surfing

I loved Bali! Everything from the food, the scenery to the people and of course, our relaxing days by the pool. We played a lot of cards, surfed and read. The house we rented, which I found on Airbnb, was only a few feet from the beach. The beaches have black sand and are usually very clean. However, a few days before we arrived they were hit by many storms causing sticks and debris to be washed up to onto the beach. The locals would come everyday to clean up the sticks and carry them off in bags. We loved being in Bali and  I can't wait to go back.

Balian Beach is our little secret and a surfers paradise.
